Against A Falling Sky

by Gods of Space

supported by
Dave Aftandilian
Dave Aftandilian thumbnail
Dave Aftandilian Grumbling, growling deep doom music balances perfectly here with soaring celestial clean male vocals. Kind of like what you might imagine Candlemass or Solitude Aeturnus sounding like if they had made space metal. Heavy percussion also does a great job evoking the ship breaking apart. Weightless, hopeless, we float towards our doom.
Lute FP
Lute FP thumbnail
Lute FP Killer doomish rock bordering on metal, with thick, crunchy riffs and bouncy rhythms. The vocals provide a counter to the heaviness of the music, clean with a progressive bent, and on occasion reminiscent of Freddy Mercury. Something not like everything, this is what BC is all about.

Engines idle In dawn's orange light Hydraulics bellow Our ship starts to rise Against All Odds Engrossed with haste Forward onto goal Such a sight Debris of a satellite Against All Odds Doors blast wide Boots rush in Searchlights blaze Hoping to save Least one soul.. Dock down quickly Tarry room to room Against all odds Our recuse is a fruitless tune Doors blast wide Boots rush in Searchlights blaze Hoping to save Least one soul.. At least one.. Sun pale white Graces our eyes Rests its radiant arms Around our failure

My eyes swing wide as my gaze meets another Pupils wide with Fear that we wont make it out of this predicament together Escape comes now Pull down the release Let the fuel flow Engines in reverse As rock pummel below Recite an old hymn One I now recall 'Let not fear be the Guide of your hand' Don't be reassured By your optimism Visions of old friends and family Loved ones we may never again see Pull down the release Let the fuel flow Engines in reverse As rock pummel below Recite an old hymn One I now recall 'Let not fear be the Guide of your hand' Steady your heart your mind Master your fear or die I always knew This trip was one way So when we die lets die With dignity

Exit Point 03:31
As a child I would dream Of far stars That would call on me Astral glades hail my name Voices edicted that I come nearer Approached slow, is what I did To a face of total facsimile A smile smirk lite her lips I then asked what will you gain from me Silent focused intent unseen Knowledge to simply be True self that lay in wait Sleeping at the exit point She then rose Lifted her hand Placed two fingers On the bridge of my brow Vagaries visions of far worlds Eclipsed my eyes with endless opportunity I swam jade seas Supper white air Sat on peaks With any compare A slim smirk lite her lip And then she asked what will you gain from me Silent focused intent unseen Knowledge to simply be True self that lay in wait Sleeping at the exit point

Falling Sky 05:04
Heaven rains Red and orange today So now Bow beneath the falling sky Hear our prayers hear our cries Fate would have it That this day would come So now Bow beneath the falling sky Hear our prayers hear our cries
5.
Wake up can you hear me Prisoner can you hear me A voice cried out Cried to me I rise reluctant Gather my senses Inhale deep Exhale slow "Unusual this now Have you come to beat me?" The scowl unsure Yet certain No said the key As the lock yawned free My cell door creaks open My cell door creaks open A taste so sweet A smell so sweet Onyx bars that held me Now dismissing The bond once had Of flesh and steel My captor spoke slowly Slowly and clearly This is your Your last chance This transport Is going down Run out the hall Bear to the right Follow the emergency lights For there broke voice in fear You'll find your means of escape
